Hi, my name is Sarah Magrish Cline. I am currently living in Portland and San Francisco. I was born in 1979 in Los Angeles.

I am a designer that can move fluidly between digital and analog tools. My work cultivates an aesthetic of pleasure and maintains allegiance to the human scale.

Collaborative community work is my expertise. I am trained in collective management, group decision making and design thinking. I have a particular talent for creating a welcoming environment and love coordinating events and socials.

I have an intimate knowledge of Portland’s food systems and farms. My favorite pastimes are hosting dinner parties and reading the Dining section of the New York Times.

Currently I am fascinated by screenprinting, transparency, repetition, gift economies, florescent ink, cooperative ownership, neo geo, collective management, foraging, Studs Terkel, sharing meals, conviviality, and the right to productive unemployment (thank you ivan illich.)

I am part of the Design MFA program at the California College of the Arts, class of 2010 and am lucky enough to study with Martin Venezky, Geoff Kaplan, Jeremy Mende, Maria McVarish, Ignacio Valero and others.

I am always interested in collaborations, work and conversations of all kinds so don't hesitate to contact me at magrish@riseup.net or at 971.344.7595.
